‘Data Editor’ position available at the Journal of Evolutionary Biology

The Journ­al of Evol­u­tion­ary Bio­logy (JEB) is seek­ing a Data Edit­or to devel­op and over­see efforts to max­im­ise trans­par­ency, repro­du­cib­il­ity and reusab­il­ity of research in our soci­ety journ­al. This pos­i­tion is likely well-suited to a mid-career evol­u­tion­ary bio­lo­gist with exper­i­ence in com­pu­ta­tion­al bio­logy and cod­ing and an interest in open sci­ence.  The indi­vidu­al tak­ing on the role will be a full mem­ber of the Edit­or­i­al Board and uniquely posi­tioned to shape the open research policies of the journ­al going forward.

We are seek­ing a motiv­ated indi­vidu­al to:

  • Fur­ther devel­op JEB’s data and code depos­ition policies.
  • Work along­side our edit­or­i­al office to ensure com­pli­ance with our policies.
  • Devel­op solu­tions to make JEB art­icles more open and inter­act­ive for our readership.
